Fair Use Policy
What our plan limits actually mean, and what they do not mean — written plainly, without fine print.
What 'unlimited' means
When a plan offers unlimited follow-up questions, that means there is no monthly cap on how many questions you can ask. You will not see a counter, a paywall, or a limit notice during normal use.
There are background rate limits that exist purely to prevent automated abuse — for example, submitting hundreds of requests within a few minutes. These limits are set far above anything a person would naturally reach in a session of active practice or professional work. If you are using Astro Star as a person, for yourself or your clients, you will not encounter them.
Profile slots on Plus
The Plus plan includes 50 total birth chart profiles. This is a cumulative allocation — once you create 50 profiles across the lifetime of your account, you will need to upgrade to Pro or Practitioner to create more. Profiles you have already created remain fully accessible for readings and follow-up questions.
This limit exists because each birth chart reading involves significant compute. 50 profiles is generous for personal exploration and occasional comparative work. If you regularly run charts for family, friends, or clients, Pro or Practitioner is the right fit.
What fair use looks like in practice
Normal use — personal research, asking follow-up questions about your own chart, running charts for family members, professional client work as a Jyotishi — is exactly what each plan is built for. No limits you will encounter under these conditions are surprising.
What we ask you not to do: build automated pipelines that generate bulk readings programmatically, re-sell access to the platform, or attempt to circumvent plan limits through account sharing or abuse of the money-back guarantee.
Questions or edge cases
If you have a use case that falls outside the above — a research project, a large practitioner practice, an institutional need — reach out before assuming it is not supported. We can almost always accommodate legitimate needs.
